    The Church That Cares
Christ-centered Baptist Church That Leads Lost Souls To The Lord And Savior Jesus Christ

    IBC Lot II Dedication

“To God be the glory great things He hath done!”

What a tremendous blessing God has bestowed upon us! Despite of the economic crisis the world is experiencing today, the IBC was able to purchase a 2,255-sqm. lot located along the National Highway of Ilagan, Isabela, and just a few meters away from the present church location. It is indeed a testimony of God’s loving favour, goodness and faithfulness to us.

Our hearts greatly rejoiced as Pastor Jose B. Cabajar led the prayer of dedication of the lot on May 1, 2010 at 6:30 in the morning. We thanked God for the wonderful privilege to be entrusted with such a property to be developed and used for His honour and glory.

God is enlarging our ministry and the opportunity is great. With one heart, we take steps of faith because we have the assurance that our faithful God is with us to lead, guide and provide.

    IBC 22nd Anniversary

    May 2, 2010

And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. Luke 17:14

Once again, the 22nd Anniversary of Ilagan Baptist Church, with the theme, “Steps of Faith”, was a wonderful manifestation of the love and faithfulness of God to His church. All praises to Him for His mighty working in our midst. As we celebrated the twenty-two years of God’s blessings, we stand in amazement at what God has done to us and through us. Our hearts were in thankfulness to God for giving us ample opportunities to be used as a vessel to proclaim His Word and demonstrate His power.

Pastor Jose B. Cabajar delivered beautiful messages on faith, encouraging and challenging the church to take steps of faith because it is a rewarding step that could lead a believer to extra-ordinary milestone of success. God’s faithfulness to us could surely embolden us to continue to take steps of faith, looking forward and joyfully anticipating His continual blessings.

Truly, as the psalmist said, “Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.”

    IBC 2010 World Mission Month

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify you Father which is in heaven.” (Matt. 5:16)

The 2010 theme of the IBC World Mission Month, “Be A Light To Others”, was derived from the above text. Messages delivered on Wednesday and Sunday Services during the whole month of March gave emphasis on the purpose of believers as lights of the world; and their blessed obligation to support the Great Commission that the world may come to know the True Light, the Lord Jesus Christ. Deep involvement and commitment for this cause is a must to every believer.

Three (3) mission-minded pastors, namely Pastor Gilbert Toquero of La Loma Baptist Church, Pastor Emmanuel Estipona of Hebron Baptist Church, and Pastor Jon Coronel who is a missionary to Ethiopia, challenged our church to move with God and  to invest on things that have eternal values, and to bring forth good works for the furtherance of the Gospel.

We praise God for the great success of this wonderful event.

     IBC Family Life Seminar 2010

    (Ephesians 5:22-23)

Marriage was designed by God to portray the love and faithfulness of Christ to His Bride, the Church. It is sacred; it is beautiful; and it must be protected, nourished and built up.

Pastor Salvador dela Cruz of International Baptist Bible Church in Reseda, California was IBC’s guest speaker during the Family Life Seminar held on February 21. His lecture emphasized on the problem of Marital Drift among couples: the explanation and motivation of marital drifting; and the “red flags” of drifting.  He further gave important points on how to maintain an intimate relationship and keep it in great shape, encouraging married couples to make dual commitment to marriage both as an institution and as a relationship in order to enjoy a healthy and blissful marriage.

We thank God for a blessed time of learning and fellowship.

    IBC Summer Music Workshop ‘09

Music is a wonderful language of the whole universe. It is a strong and yet stylish medium of conveying one’s message to others. It can be used as a powerful weapon to capture one’s heart, to redirect one’s way of thinking, and even liberate one’s troubled soul.

Cognizant of the vital role played by music, the Ilagan Baptist Church conducted a free Music Workshop on May 25-30 with the objectives: to strengthen the music ministry of the church; to help people especially the young generation discover and enhance their talents for God and the ministry; and to encourage them to have deep appreciation and interest for spiritual and God-glorifying music.

We thank God for using 8 young people from IBC and 2  from La Loma Baptist Church who taught how to play different musical instruments to the 66 delegates from 10 Baptist churches in Region 2.

Highlighting the workshop was the Recital ’09 held on the last day wherein the participants exhibited their learned skills by rendering special numbers.

Praise God for blessing this worthwhile and fruitful summer activity.
